The Settled Land Act 1882, effective 31 Dec 1882, combined Copyhold Commissioners, Inclosure Commissioners, and Tithe Commissioners into Land Commissioners, subsequently replacing the “COPYHOLD etc COMMISSION” stamps, that had been authorized under the Public Offices Fees Act 1866 for the payment of fees, by “THE LAND COMMISSION” stamps.
